This Kenwood TS-440s/AT seemed to work fine when I bought it from an estate last summer. By that, I mean it received signals and transmitted into a dummy load. When I got it home, I put it on the shelf. When I got it out several months later, it powered up, but only displayed dots in the display for all bands. I've read that this is a common problem with this model radio and that it isn't too difficult to repair, but I don't want to bother with it. The radio shows signs of use. The paint is worn on the top left corner, but there are no major dings. It includes the internal automatic antenna tuner, but there is no power cord, manual or microphone. Again, this radio is complete, but is not working. It powers on and then displays only dots in the frequency display panel. Since it's not working, there is NO guarantee or money-back return offered.
