This is an audiophile receiver that pretty much does everything. You will have complete control of your audio system and can fine tune every detail of your system all from this receiver. There are so many functions and features to this head unit, it is hard to mention them all but one of the best features is the internal memory for storing music. It lets you rip and store up to 370 tracks in its internal memory. This is a very functional receiver! This receiver is a brand new unit that was on display in a car stereo shop. It is in 100% working order and cosmetically flawless. It comes with remote control, all manuals, set-up and instruction CD and original box. USB/AAC/MP3/WMA/CD Receiver with USB Direct Control & OEL Display. Totally digital — the KDC-X991 CD receiver uses a fully digital audio platform with SRS WOW HD™ processing to enhance the clarity, dynamic range, and acoustic presence of your music. In plain English, it makes your MP3, WMA, and AAC tunes sound full-bodied and as close to the original recordings as possible. You can store up to 370 songs in the internal 512 MB flash memory. The stereo can rip music from your CDs in real time while you listen, or import music files through the USB input, taking only seconds per song to do so. The stereo's display dips into a palette of over 4,000 colors to create smooth, rich images for the background. It also renders four lines of song text, so you can get all of your information at a glance. Kenwood's Multi Control Wheel makes for speedy navigation through your music library and the stereo settings. For iPod® control, Kenwood's optional connecting cable uses the stereo's auxiliary and USB inputs. If you want to keep those inputs open, get Kenwood's external iPod control adaptor instead. Graphic Motion Analyzer: This unit is equipped with a sensor that measures the forces of gravity on the vehicle. This sensor enables the receiver to calculate G-forces during acceleration, braking, and cornering. The G-Analyzer also has a stop watch that can be automatically started when forward or reverse G-forces are detected. Setup and calibration for acceleration and braking must be performed before using the G-Analyzer. The Graphic Motion Analyzer offers you 5 graphic displays to choose from: G-Graphic, G-Meter, G-Counter and Stop Watch, along with a HorsePower function that measures and records the max horse-power of your car. You can specify what type of vehicle you are driving to calibrate the G-Analyzer by selecting from the following choices - Mid Size, Full Size, SUV, Van, Pickup Truck, Sporty or Compact. The GMA's information can be viewed as numerical data or enhanced graphics on the head unit's display. Note: The HP or G value measured by this unit may not be completely accurate due to its simplified method of measurement.
