Kenwood TS-480SAT HF-6m Transceiver, serial no. B0300052. This radio is very clean & like-new. It is fully operational and all functions work according to specifications. All buttons & knobs, including the VFO, operate crisply & smoothly. The transmitter produces slightly over 100 watts into a dummy load on all bands & rig control operates with HRD with or without the control head attached. This has been my personal radio for a little over a year & I have used it almost exclusively for low-power CW and weak-signal digital operations - very seldom have I had it set to transmit over 5 watts output The only option I've installed is the SO-3 TCXO high-stability frequency standard. No other options are included and the radio is not modified in any way - it is factory original. Included is the original box w/ packing & all the supplied accessories, which have never been used or even been removed from their plastic packages. I have never used the original mic, mounting brackets or power cable - I am using a 4-pin fused DC cable which I already had & will include with the radio. For the control-head I made up two (2) extra cables with RJ-11s (22" & 36" long) to use instead of the supplied long cable and these will be included with the radio. The original manual has never been read & is like-new. My reference has been a downloaded copy from the Kenwood web-site which I had spiral-bound along with the in-depth TS-480 detail design manual - it will be included with the radio. The data, computer control & CW key cables seen in the middle photo are not included. At the buyer's option this TS-480SAT may be picked up at commercial retail location in SW Portland, OR It is being sold 'As-is'
